Job Summary
The London Water/Wastewater Group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative-
highly talented Water Wastewater Engineer in Training for immediate employment
in the London- Ontario office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be
able to demonstrate knowledge and interest in water and wastewater process
engineering- including design of expansions or upgrades to pumping stations-
water and wastewater treatment plants- as well as design of new water and
wastewater infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:
Oversee and direct data collection and analysis activities

Undertake preliminary and detailed design activities

Responsible for the preparation of technical memoranda- preliminary and detailed design reports

Equipment selection and liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors

Oversee the production of contract drawings for water and wastewater related infrastructure

Preparation of technical specifications- special provisions and forms of tender

Review of quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy

Proposal preparation including development of work plan- schedule and fee estimates for water and wastewater scope of work components

Liaise/co-ordinate with other disciplines/departments in preparation of reports- design packages and proposals for multi-disciplinary projects

Provision of contract administration services during the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities

Work independently and as part of a team to complete water and wastewater infrastructure assignments

Prepare technical reports and analysis to support project assignments

Actively engage in professional development and industry events

Edit technical reports with detailed attention to grammar- language and formatting

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (or Bachelor of Science in Engineering) degree in Civil- Chemical- Environmental or equivalent

Knowledge /interest in wastewater collection- conveyance and treatment

Proficient in the use of desktop computational tools including Excel- Word- PowerPoint- Microsoft Project- etc

Must possess a valid driver`s license

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in water /wastewater engineering

Eligible for an Engineer in Training (EIT) license by PEO

Proficient in the use of desktop computational tools including Excel- Word- PowerPoint- Microsoft Project- etc

Must possess a valid driver`s license

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong technical report writing skills

Advanced data management skills through the use of spreadsheet and database software

Job Summary

Ensure periodic internal bin collections are carried our as required. Make
sure all Hotel Recycling Areas are setup correctly to ensure all Waste Streams
can be segregated as needed. Carry out basic maintenance of all hotel rolling
bins and trolleys. Open and close the Refuse Area for collections within the
licensed hours and liase with contractors facilitating the removal of waste.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report
maintenance needs| accidents| injuries| and unsafe work conditions to manager;
complete safety training and certifications. Protect company assets. Speak
with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain
positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common
goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Move| lift|
carry| push| pull| and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
without assistance. Stand| sit| or walk for an extended period of time. Reach
overhead and below the knees| including bending| twisting| pulling| and
stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
