About Our Team:

The Engineering Services and Utilities Team sits within the London Cost
Management Team. We specialise in the Cost Management of Engineering Services
and Utilities in a broad range of sectors and end markets

Job Responsibilities:

You will lead the Utilities Cost management on projects- taking responsibility
for successful delivery. Also providing effective support and mentoring to
Cost Managers- Graduates and Apprentices. You will ensure that commissions are
managed and completed efficiently- on time and to the client`s satisfaction.
You will develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of
the project team and be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and
existing). You will ensure that all staff members reporting to you have
current and relevant training and manage the delivery of cost management team
outputs- in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards. You will
provide full Utility Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.

You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with excellent
communication skills and the ability to deliver services with a Client focused
perspective

Minimum Requirements

Significant proven experience in a consulting environment providing Utilities CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration- Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.

Understanding of JCT and NEC standard forms of contract.

Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost- value and risk- not just cost in isolation.

Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement- cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.

Excellent numeracy- verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner

Preferred Qualifications

Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management

Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS- CIOB or other equivalent institution
