The Social and Weddings Event Executive is responsible for social and wedding
enquiries| from conversion through to seamless transition to operations for
event execution and back to sales. The Executive provides excellent customer
service through every element of the event or group enquiry| utilizing strong
partnership and selling skills.
Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with all relevant hotel
departments and the customer to ensure consistent| high level service through
pre –event| during event and post event. Actively engages in Meet and Greet of
all key events.
Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue| conversion and drive repeat
The Social and Weddings Event Executive takes personal responsibility to
adhere to sales and event brand standards for enquiry handling| event
planning| pre & post-event.
Will be required to work weekends and evenings as needed by business| due to
the nature of the social segment. May be required to support in other segments
of reactive sales| for example corporate group and meetings
Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales
techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to
Marriott| including up-selling. Encourage guests or callers to purchase or
schedule preview package sales/tours and answer questions about property
facilities/services. Serve as a role model and first point of contact of the
Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
Ownership for the management and conversion of assigned enquiries
Coordination of all customer requirements| including communication and completing verbally and in writing with the customer the details of an event up to handover to operations on the day of event execution.
Meet and Greet at all key events (including weekends / evenings)
Expertise in menu planning| food presentation| meeting room set ups| audio-visual and banquet service standards. Cooperate with Banqueting Operation and Kitchen team to develop new F&B concepts according to the Meetings Imagined.com purposes
Correct use of systems process to ensure booking integrity| consistency & accuracy.
Sells to a pre-determined event and group strategy
Works within brand standards & systems processes
Generate incremental revenue and deliver excellent guest service.
Effectively manages bedrooms blocks and meeting space inventory for assigned groups
Conducts compelling show rounds to win the business

Proactively resolicits previous customers and event bookers for future opportunities
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal
appearance are clean and professional; protect company assets. Anticipate and
address guests| service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank
guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and
professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and
completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and
maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to
quality expectations and standards; identify| recommend| develop| and
implement new ways to increase organizational quality. Read and visually
verify information in a variety of formats. Perform other reasonable job
duties as requested by Supervisors.
