JOB SUMMARY:
This role requires the supervision| maintenance and tidiness of our busy loading bay (and all the equipment/utensils in there) shared by 3 different parties as well as some other areas of the back of the house when required. __
Assist the Goods Receiver and the Store keeper on all daily deliveries| helping to store/distribute the goods where appropriate __
Coverage of the Goods Receiving tasks on Saturdays __
Ensure compliance with all health| safety and hygiene legislations.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role requires the following responsibilities| which include but are not
limited to;
_GOODS RECEIVING_
Ø To inform the relevant department when goods are received and need to be
collected from the loading bay
Ø Highlight any delivery incident (shortage| damage| return| wrong item| etc…)
to chefs or relevant HOD
Ø Match all invoices with their relevant P.O.s
Ø Ensure proper organisation of delivery vehicles to avoid congestion in
loading bay
_MAINTENANCE OF THE LOADING BAY_
Ø Ensure all equipment/tools/utensils/bins| etc…are on their right place
according to the loading bay layout
Ø Washing the emptied bins on daily basis
Ø Brushing and moping the loading bay on a daily basis
Ø Emptying the compactor machines when full and keeping packed waste where
appropriate
Ø Maintaining the goods trollies constantly on cleaned condition
Ø Assisting the Goods Receiver and the Store Keeper loading| unloading and
delivering goods from the loading bay to the relevant store/s
_PERSONAL COMPETENCIES_
Ø Previous experience on similar role preferred
Ø Familiar with food & beverage products
Ø Familiar with chemical handling
Ø Physically fit as goods lifting/handling is constantly required
_MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES_
Ø Must demonstrate ownership and assertiveness to ensure full compliance
Marriott audit policies and procedures within Food & Beverage department.
Ø Must demonstrate an ability to maintain a good atmosphere within the team
and employees
Ø Must be able to communicate clearly and develop relationships with all
levels of staff| management as well as with our key supplier’s contacts.
Ø Must demonstrate a desire for working in the Hospitality Industry.
