Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Professional Network Manager for our global IT
Department.
This is an EMEA IT Network Infrastructure role and will report in a matrix to
the EMEA CIO and Director Global Compute Operations.
The role is largely focused on ensuring that the AECOM EMEA compute
infrastructure is secure- highly available- and meets performance standards
and service levels for the global businesses. You will oversee operational
performance of our managed service providers and work with them to ensure
continual improvements in operations and processes are achieved- b

responsible for managing expectations for the delivery and demand of I

services to IT leadership (the VP- Ops internal customers) and you will wor

closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful deployments an

implementations of technology and the smooth transition into operational
steady state.

Job Duties:

Ensure the high availability and performance of EMEA network environment including coordination and oversight during planned and unplanned infrastructure system outages.

Drive process and service improvement initiatives.

Oversee AECOM`s IT disaster recovery (DR) plans. Coordinates and lead annual testing.

Ensure high degrees of service delivery from our managed service providers. Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Drive process and service improvement initiatives.

Participate in compliance activities to include tracking plans- coordinating testing and maintaining action plans for audits both internal and external.

Oversee all areas of network operations including- but not limited to- local area and wide area networking configuration- communications and telecommunications- data and voice networking systems- video teleconferencing services- as delivered by our managed services partners.

Manage the supply chain of computing equipment inclusive of desktop computers- physical and virtual- and peripherals for our global employees.

In coordination with the PMO as appropriate- plan and direct the installation- testing- and operation of existing/new IT services.

As needed- participate in client presentations and pursuits where technology is a key differentiator.

Work with Change Management to ensure all changes are properly vetted and approved before implementation

Provide regular communications and updates both on technical strategic direction and tactical technical delivery and performance.

Proactively seek out ways to mitigate risk within IT.

Specific Skills Required:

Technology breadth- experience in IT network architecture at enterprise level including;

Traffic Shaping

SDWAN

SolarWinds

Complex Network Topologies

Cloud Migration

Experience of leading a team.

The ability to engage and motivate to get the best out of staff and lead a winning team.

Ability to work well with peers in a matrix structure.

Proven excellent customer service skills.

Experience in IT Service Delivery.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present both technical and non-technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience in IT Service Delivery processes and procedures.

Capability to undertake Project Management of small projects or elements of larger projects.

Experience of influencing others including specialist peers- customers and external parties to achieve success of team objectives.

Demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving of large or complex problems.

Full Clean driving Licence

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will be a hands-on- collaborative- technology-
oriented leader and a strategic thinker- skilled in developing strategic plans
and programs and accomplishing business objectives. We are looking for the
following attributes;

Minimum of progressively more challenging IT leadership roles. IT delivery experience highly preferred in a comparably complex and global company.

Experience in implementing technology to solve business problems in distributed- high labor environments. Architecture- Engineering and Construction (A/E/C) experience preferred but not required.

Technology breadth. Experience in IT infrastructure and applications development; ability to understand IT and client technical requirements.

Demonstrated |thought leadership| related to technology and industry trends.

Proven teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience- confidence- and stature to effectively address needs and challenges of AECOM business leaders and clients.

A style that is forthright- receptive and persuasive throughout all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

You will need a science- engineering- technology-related degree ideally- other
degrees such as finance would also be acceptable. Advanced studies preferred.

Cisco accreditation preferred
