Job Summary
As Sales Executive| you will analyse local market trends and competitor
activity to generate new future business for the hotel. Specifically| you will
be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Being part of the Sales team| you will also be working closely with the Events
team. Executing daily| weekly and monthly tasks and assisting the events team
with day to day responsibilities as required.
Key responsibilities:
Generate and develop sales leads and contact potential clients to build business relationships
Account management; maintaining and developing relationships to increase repeat business
Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify new business leads
Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
Ability to work with different business strategies and recognising potential opportunities
Ensures required systems are updated with all activities as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs| demonstrating a flexible| adaptable nature
Building rapport with existing clients as well as new clients
Organise and host client entertaining| show rounds and familiarisation trips for key bookers and main decision makers.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications & Experiences
Minimum of 1 year hospitality sales experience with proven success
Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems including OneSource / SFA| Opera| MARSHA preferred
Computer literacy| particularly word processing and spread sheets
Knowledge of Conference & Events and Group products and selling strategies
Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Responsible for client account development and to be proactive on the acquisition of new business
