Assists the Senior Events Manager to ensure the Sales and Events team operates
to Marriott brand standard requirements. To maximise all opportunities to sell
and upsell facilities to conferences| functions| events and weddings. To act
as one point of contact between the client and hotel at all stages of the
booking process from initial enquiry through co-ordination to completion. To
communicate in an effective and timely manner all the client’s specific
requirements to operational departments. To uphold the Terms and Conditions of
Trading as laid down by the Hotel Company and to ensure that the company’s
policies on legislation are adhered to. To Support the Senior Events manager
in the day to day running of the team.

Ensure a seamless turnover from the sales and events departments to the
Operations Team back to the delivery of the event.

Ensure implementation of the Meetings and Event Management Brand Standards for
planning| pre & post-event.

Coordinates with proactive sales| hotel departments| and customer to ensure
consistent| high level service throughout the Event

Aids in setting strategies to ensure high Event Satisfaction Scores in
department and liaises with the team to ensure standards are met

Aids in implementation and development of departmental strategies

Responsible for preparation of pre & post event documentation

Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering
enhancements to create outstanding events

Responsible for monitoring the optimization of the hotels meeting room
inventory

Responsible for hotel walk-in & show round customer processes to ensure all
Marriott Brand Standards are met

Adheres to and polices data integrity and IT processes relevant to the role

Deputizes for all Senior Event Management tasks in their absence (where
applicable) ie HOD Meetings| month end reporting| catering projections| Opera
audits| Checklist.
