POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Record to Report (R2R) will report to the R2R Lead for
Project Orion. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the
design/implementation of charts of accounts configuration under local
statutory requirements with associated mappings| coupled with strong
analytical| numeracy| organizational & communication skills. The job holder
should have a good understanding of the design and configuration of general
accounting systems and related systems together with applicable interfaces. .
He/ She must have strong technical skills and be able to work with Excel and
similar applications to an advanced or professional level. Strong knowledge of
mainstream business technology products| such ERPs like Peoplesoft| Oracle
and/or SAP as well as Property Management Systems like Opera and common
software packages like MS Office applications is an absolute requirement.
SCOPE
The Senior Manager Record to Report is responsible for:
The design/development of configuration solutions for specific markets as defined by the Project Deployment schedules and assigned in the project plan(s).
The research of business requirements and their translation into design solutions.
The documentation and submission of design/configuration requirements to the respective support organisations/helpdesks
The testing and validation of delivered solutions
The supervision/guidance of other team members/subject matter experts and resources as and when applicable in the course of the work assigned.
The delivery of required solutions within agreed timeframes and in alignment with overall project plans
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Job Responsibilities
Researches and documents business requirements for the development/implementation of the approved technology resources.
Completes/documents/submits configuration information required for system maintenance
Performs integration and user acceptance testing of submitted configuration as applicable. Documents/feeds back results.
Participates in all team meetings/communications as applicable to the role and in alignment with the schedules published by the Project Manager.
May need to assist in preparation and posting of journals| particularly during conversion/migration activity.
Key support for the Record to Report Lead.
Promptly responds to queries.
Provides a clear| friendly service to all associates based in the hotels and multiple office locations
Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Comply with all applicable Marriott International policies and procedures.
Is proactive and has a flexible approach to work| meeting the needs of the team and the business at all times.
Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates.

Candidate profile – key talents and experience desired
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of progressive job experience in accounting/finance field to include the implementation of new financial systems and technology.
Proven experience with working in a project environment and to tight deadlines| ideally as a Project or Implementation Manager in similar Projects
Substantial experience with the PeopleSoft general ledger system and/or similar large database applications and/or ERPs.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Fully PC literate with strong user skills/experience of Word| Excel| PowerPoint and Outlook as well as other business technology applications such as ERPs| Database applications and software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of spelling and grammar| layout and content formation essential
Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
Good business process and time management skills; ensuring compliance with existing processes and producing quality results.
Able to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and promote a service orientation that prioritises the delivery of customer focused results or solutions.
Excellent communication skills| both written and oral. Ability to articulate issues to a variety of individuals at multiple levels within the organization. Can interact confidently at senior level and present complex issues in a credible fashion.
Ability to communicate effectively with associates on technical accounting issues.
Demonstrates sound organizational and prioritization skills; delivers high performance levels under tight deadlines.
High degree of initiative| personal responsibility and integrity.
Demonstrates an independent ability to research and analyze transactions| balances and other data.
Travel Requirements: There is occasional business travel required.
Education and Professional Certification:
A level or equivalent education standard required; degree education preferred.
Demonstrated pursuit of career in Hospitality and/or Finance & Accounting preferred.
Formal qualifications in IT/Finance or related fields preferred but not required.
