Job Summary
Aecom London- ON- is looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer/ Lead. As
part of our transportation team in Ontario- the successful applicant will:
Manage projects including project team direction- co-ordination- monitoring schedules and budgets- and invoice preparation
Prepare correspondence- reports- specifications- and meeting minutes
Undertake work as a technical lead in the areas of transportation planning and transportation/civil engineering
Communicate with clients- agencies- stakeholders- and the public
Perform business development and marketing activities to current and potential clients in order to generate future business
Lead or assist in the preparation of proposals and Expressions of Interest
Manage- attract and develop supporting staff

Primary responsibilities include project management and execution o

transportation planning- design and construction projects in our London

Ontario office- working with AECOM`s extensive multidisciplinary team. This
includes undertaking and managing environmental assessments- transportation
planning- functional planning- preliminary design- detail design- and related
studies and activities for municipal- provincial- and transit infrastructure
projects. Typical projects include major road reconstruction / widening- Bus
Rapid Transit- urban street / intersection design- and highway / freeway
improvements.

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

Preparation of reports- proposals- and other documentation for clients- review agencies- and the public

Assign- direct- and review work undertaken by technical staff to ensure that studies and projects are completed to a high degree of accuracy.

Project management responsibilities including financial- schedule- and scope management of projects

Manage staff for technical project activities- assist with staff development- and provide input and recommendations relative to staff needs- performance- and remuneration.

Liaise with client Project Manager

Organize- prepare for- attend- participate in- present- lead- and/or take minutes for Project Team and other technical meetings- both internally and with the client and/or stakeholders

Organize and lead multidisciplinary teams- including Structural- Traffic- Planning- Environmental- Drainage- Urban Design- Architectural- Costing- Constructability- Systems- and other specialties

Contribute as team member responsible for transportation/civil components of projects managed by others

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Minimum 10 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Ontario municipal and/or provincial road design projects

Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario
